it's not much good if it just dies. Seemed to work almost as well as my VCR for conversion, and took almost no power, but.
As far as quality goes, my DVDs look and sound as crystal clear as they would if I hooked the DVD player up directly to my TV (it's a 13" TV, though, so I can't really say how the video would look on a bigger screen). This is a fantastic little device. Just turn on your DVD player or other media device and the RF modulator will do the rest. If you need an RF modulator, this is the one I recommend. One thing I should mention, though, is that there's no power switch on this box; it turns on automatically when a signal is received. It does what it's designed to do, and does it very well. I've had mine for about 4-5 months now and it still works great.
which is one less than my already overcrowded surge-protectors/Power Strips can handle with all the electronics these days that need the large power converter. Works perfectly. The low price $12 when I bought it was a steal, compared to the RCA similar product at a local hardware store that was $28 and had an annoying power/adapter/cord.This one comes with a straight plug in and no separate transformer.
The DVD was immediately up and the system working flawlessly. You will need a cable from the modulator to the TV. I have not tested the S-Video. The PH61159 automatically turns on when the DVD is turned on. Installation was intuitive and easy. For my TV I had to switch it to channel 3.
it was in great condition and packaged neatly. He has been loving it - no complaints. Thanks. I moved back home for a little and i got this for my bro so he could play the wii in his room instead of mine. It came quickly - in fact much quicker than I expected.
